Available Wholesaler and Distributor Insurance Coverages

Tenant improvements coverage covers permanently attached property on the rented premises that were installed or purchased by the insured. Under wholesaler and distributor insurance, we recommend a tenant improvements limit that is based on the value of the improvements.

Business property coverage, also known as contents coverage, covers loose property on the insured premises. For a wholesaler and distributor insurance policy, we recommend a contents limit that is based on the value of this property.

Off-Premises property coverage covers property away from the insured premises. Under distributor and wholesaler insurance, we recommend an off-premises limit that is based on the value of the property that could be taken off the insured premises.

This does not cover wear and tear.

Brands and labels coverage pays cost to re-label merchandise to comply with the law after a covered loss.

Spoilage coverage covers product that is spoiled after mechanical breakdown or failure of refrigeration equipment. For wholesaler and distributor insurance, we recommend a spoilage limit that is based on the value of the products that could spoil.

General liability coverage primarily protects your company financially if held responsible for trip and slip-type injuries. For a wholesaler and distributor insurance policy, at least $1,000,000 general liability coverage is recommended.

Personal and advertising injury coverage primarily covers defamation and copyright/trademark infringement. Under distributor and wholesaler insurance, a personal and advertising limit of at least $1,000,000 is recommended.

Product liability coverage covers injuries or property damage caused by products sold. A product liability limit of at least $1,000,000 is recommended under a distributor and wholesaler insurance policy.
